Like I don’t have enough blogs…

I was inspired to write this blog by Greycatsidhe over at the Ditzy Druid.  It really is an awesome site, with a simply beauty.  Sometimes the entries are longer and in-depth, other times a photo says it all.  You can check out Greycatsihe at ditzydruid.com.

How many blogs can one blogger have, really?  Let’s see… there’s the personal blog, which tends to get REALLY personal, basically my Doogie Houser style journal bearing my heart and soul to a select group of subscribers.

There’s Maple Tree Druidry, which will be the hub of the podcast if it ever gets going.  This is where I discuss Druidry, magic, rants and recipes that I deep suitable for public consumption.

There’s My ADF blog, which is where I track my Dedicant Path.  This one will most likely become defunct after my DP is done.  I’m about a quarter of the way through, for the 2nd time.

And now, there’s Druid on the Run.  This blog will chronicle my battle with weight and fitness.  I wanted to have a place just for this.  It doesn’t really belong anywhere else, and most likely has a specific audience of those who combine both spirituality and fitness.

I’ve found that I tend to have the best success when I have to be accountable to others.  Therefore, making this public and sharing my innermost about my motivations, successes, failures, highs, lows, self-esteem ups and downs, should give some level of accountability about my fitness to my friends, and a few strangers.  Please, do feel free to encourage me, nag me, celebrate with me and cry with me.  But I ask, do be gentle.  I am okay with my readers saying “hey Rix, you haven’t been to the gym in three weeks, get your bum in there!”  But I’m not okay with being shamed about my weight or called names.  Let’s face it, I’m a bigger gal, and my self-esteem is tied to my fitness level.  This is stuff I am working on, both in the gym and in my own personal wellbeing.

This will give a more in-depth view of what I am going through, what my barriers to the gym are, how my work outs are going, and how my fitness is progressing.  Sometimes, there may be a spiritual slant to my entries, other times, I may be more technical.  At times, I may be on top of the world and sexy as F!  Other times, I may have a little pity party on my blog as I feel like Pearl from Blade.  I am hoping that this blog also may inspire others to be active, share in my joys and learn from my mistakes.

Please join me on my journey at Druid on the Run.

I am on fitocracy, which is a social networking for active people.  You may follow me as RixBoudicca.
